Understanding DNS Records

DNS records tell the internet where a domain should send visitors. Custodia Serena may ask for a TXT record to verify ownership, a CNAME record for www, or an A record for the root domain.

Add records exactly as shown in Dashboard > Custom Domain. Small changes to the host, value, punctuation, or target can prevent verification.

If the dashboard recommends DNS records, do not change nameservers unless support specifically tells you to. Keep the cemetery's existing DNS host and add only the requested records.
